i am a simple girl who has tried to paint her bedroom numerous colors but thinks white suits it best. i smittened for love. i am always working on being more kind. i am known to be snacky at times. i almost always talk to strangers and wonder if they like their jobs. if i wasn't a photographer i would likely be a back up dancer or do street art, knitta style.
i might ask you to jump, i might ask you to take a deep breath, i might ask you to close your eyes. i will ask you to play and i will ask you to just be you. now let's be friends.
this is my family, the brother’s family to be exact. yes, those are their kids all of them (well, except for the one in the helmet, she’s mine!), from the 22 year old to the 1 year old. they are loud, they are funny and they would do anything for me and my family. and they are one of the few that understand and don’t judge my s’more addiction nor my problem with nailpolish.
p.s. this is like my favorite family session, eva. so there.

hello. welcome to the brand new des haigh blog! a many months and long nites have been put into the wonderful unveiling of my new site, branding and blog. so this post will be for the many thanks to the many people who helped make this all happen. ready for the oscar-like thanks you?
first, to all the wonderful ladies in my mommas group who encouraged me and my photography throughout these 3 years, who referred friends and family and made my business what it is today. to the wonderful group that i met at BLEND who were so gracious to share what they learned and who they are. to carrie , kate and jose for being so real and for helping me figure out major details, for the laughs and friendship via the interwebs. a giant thank you to sheila who has been my mentor and friend and has been so gracious in helping me build a portfolio. oh, rands thanks so much for working with me on a totes ridic brand, i love it! to my muse, miss lucy beans for always making me want to carry my camera not to miss a moment in this journey of our lives together. and most importantly to dave♥ , i absolutely love you for all you give and sacrifice for me. for the delirious late nites of learning code, making drop down menus and for being all the support i need in my life, technically and otherwise. this is what i have always dreamed of and it would be much less if i didn’t have you to share it with. many many thanks to all of you who have continued to follow my blog and share it with friends and family.
